LOCATION All NCCJS activities and lodging will be at a beautiful environmental education conference center, the Haw River State Park in Brown Summit, NC. The Park is about 20 minutes north of Greensboro. For more information about the facilities and amenities click here!
ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE Please plan on arriving between 3 PM and 5:30 PM on Friday, Nov 17th. There will be fun activities during the afternoon so folks can meet each other and enjoy the amenities of the Park. The Summit officially starts with dinner at 6PM on Friday, Nov 17th and ends at 1:30 PM on Sunday, Nov 19th.
Adults and families are housed in motel-style Lodge Rooms that have one double and one single bed and private bathroom.
Youth groups, including youth ages 13-17 and their adult chaperones, are housed in cabins that sleep a total of 9 people.
No camping is allowed.
All meals are provided on-site and are included in the registration fee. Special dietary needs can be listed on the registration form.
NCCJS is committed to being affordable and accessible. If you would like to request financial support in order to participate in the Summit, complete this application form prior to registering. We strongly encourage you to apply as soon as possible; applications will be accepted on a rolling basis as funds allow.
NOTE: All youths under the age of 18 must be registered as part of a family or youth group; no minors will be allowed to participate in the NCCJS without adult supervision.
